Channing Tatum developing reality show

(EW.com) — The next step after exposing the world of male strip clubs? Descending into a bordello-themed New Orleans nightclub, naturally. EW has confirmed that Channing Tatum is developing an hourlong reality pilot for A&E that revolves around Saints & Sinners, a Bourbon Street bar/restaurant that Tatum opened with friend and business partner Keith Kurtz last fall. Tatum and Kurtz will executive produce, as will Original Media’s Charlie Corwin. Saints & Sinners offers “food, spirits, music, and a sinfully good time,” according to its website. “Styled after the famous red-light district bordellos and burlesque halls of New Orleans’ Storyville era, Saints & Sinners is Tatum’s tribute to the city’s ribald, good-time reputation.” Expect lots of wrought iron, red accents, and ... What made you think darkening your skin for your Halloween costume as Crazy Eyes from prison drama “Orange Is the New Black” was a good idea? The actress/dancer quickly apologized, but here are some other stars with questionable actions: Remember when Singer Michael Jackson held his 8-month-old son Prince Michael II, aka Blanket, over the balcony of the Adlon Hotel in Berlin, Germany, in 2002? That didn’t go over well. That little move in 2004 during Super Bowl XXXVIII where Justin Timberlake tore off a piece of Janet Jackson’s outfit did not go over well with the world or the ... 50 Cent to plead guilty to vandalism

Los Angeles (CNN) — Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson pleaded “no contest” to kicking in his ex-girlfriend’s bedroom door, but a domestic violence charge against the rapper was dropped Monday. A plea agreement with the Los Angeles city attorney allows Jackson to avoid jail while serving 36 months of unsupervised probation, according to a statement from the city attorney. Jackson, 37, was accused of one count of domestic violence and four counts of vandalism for allegedly ransacking the bedroom during an argument at Daphne Joy’s Los Angeles condo last June. “The agreement called for Mr. Jackson to plead no contest to a single count of misdemeanor vandalism, which deals with the door of the apartment that was damaged and owned by ... ‘Bad Grandpa’ scores big

(EW.com) — This weekend, a Ridley Scott-directed drama starring Michael Fassbender, Javier Bardem, Cameron Diaz, and Brad Pitt got trounced at the box office by Johnny Knoxville in an old-man costume. Yep, “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa” topped the chart with an excellent $32 million in its first three days, giving Knoxville his sixth No. 1 movie after his three “Jackass” films, “Men in Black II,” and “The Dukes of Hazzard.” Not a bad run for a guy who built his career on getting pushed into street curbs while sitting inside shopping carts! “Bad Grandpa,” which Paramount made on a $15 million budget, didn’t feature the entire “Jackass” crew, but it still posted numbers in line with the rest of the ... The singer was there to lead the stadium in the national anthem, but instead of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” he began singing “America the Beautiful.” He’s not the only star who’s been caught in an awkward patriotic moment: Comedian Roseanne Barr’s disastrous rendition of the national anthem during a San Diego Padres game in July 1990 drew almost unanimous boos. In a 2012 interview, Barr told CNN’s Piers Morgan it was “a huge regret that was hard to come back from.” But Whitney Houston hit ... Read More »

‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ surprise

Abrams and “Raiders of the Lost Ark” writer Lawrence Kasdan have taken over screenwriting duties from Michael Arndt, an Oscar winner for “Little Miss Sunshine” and nominee for “Toy Story 3,” who had previously been working on the story.
